People living in 22 localities of the city will now have to go to Ramnagar for registration of land deeds and other documents. By making changes in the boundaries of Ramnagar, which has been included in the Municipal Corporation, the mohallas falling in the area of Sub Registrar-II and IV have been separated. Advocates of Varanasi have also started mobilizing in protest against this government order issued by Principal Secretary Leena Johri.
The boundaries of Ramnagar, which has been included in the Municipal Corporation, have been changed and it has been made a part of the city. The government has issued orders to Assi, Krim Kund, Gauriganj, Jawaharnagar Hanumanpura, Durga Kund, Bhogabir, Bhadaini, Maltibagh, Ravindrapuri Colony, Shivala, Avadhgarbi, Ghasiyari Tola, Dumraobagh, Sankatmochan, Lanka, Khojwan, Nai Bazaar, Kirhiya, Kashmiriganj, Shankuldhara, BHU and Nagwan. Has been included in Ramnagar.
In these areas, registration of land and other documents will now be done in Ramnagar only. In this change, 21 areas from the area of Sub Registrar-II and one Nagwan from the area of IV have been included in Ramnagar.
Strategy will be decided in the meeting today
Banaras Bar President Awadhesh Singh said that there is anger among the lawyers due to this decision of the government. A general meeting will be called on Wednesday at 1.30 pm and the government will be forced to withdraw this decision. This is an attempt to fragment the lawyers. The lawyers of Banaras will strongly oppose this decision of the government.
